Vacancy Announcement: Consultant for Project Evaluation
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

First Published December 11 2025:

Samari Utthan Sewa (SUS) is a non-government, not-for-profit social development organisation established in 2008 by committed youths from Dalit communities. SUS works with Dalit, poor, landless, vulnerable, and socially excluded segments of society, focusing on their basic needs, livelihood improvement, and empowerment for human rights, particularly for Dalit and marginalized communities.

Since 2022, SUS, in partnership with the Cedar Fund, has addressed internal human trafficking in Chitwan district, targeting Bharatpur Metropolitan City ward-2 and Madi Municipality wards 8 and 9. The project focuses on preventing trafficking, especially in the Adult Entertainment Sector (AES), with a scholarship program added since 2023. Phase 1 concluded on June 31, 2024, and Phase 2 runs from July 2024 to June 2026 (with the first year ending June 2025). Phase 2 aims to strengthen impacts and stakeholder capacities, adopting a secure and sustainable livelihood approach to prevent exploitation and trafficking. It supports CSOs, enforcing agencies, and communities through capacity development and knowledge production.

As Phase 2 approaches its end, SUS seeks experienced consultants or consultancy firms to conduct a final project evaluation. The evaluation will assess the project’s performance, identify new scopes for expansion, and develop a tentative intervention model for future phases, emphasizing replicability in nearby districts and sustainability of the education component.

Eligible consultants or consultancy firms should submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to samari.utthan@gmail.com, before 5th January 2026 including:

  • Proposed budget.
  • Evaluation methodology.
  • CVs of key personnel (for firms).
  • Relevant experience and qualifications.

Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further discussions.

For inquiries, contact SUS at samari.utthan@gmail.com.

SUS is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from qualified individuals/firms with relevant experience.
